Access to information

To help ensure transparency, the Gouvernement du Québec has implemented the Regulation respecting the distribution of information and the protection of personal information. To comply with the regulatory requirements, the Société québécoise du cannabis will make available a number of documents in this section of its website periodically.

Under the Act respecting access to documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information, besides having access to various documents, you have a right of access to the personal information we hold about you and the option of having such information corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or equivocal or if the collection, release or keeping of the information is not authorized by law.

Restrictions and conditions

  • Your request must be specific enough to allow the document that interests you to be identified and retrieved. If necessary, the SQDC can assist you in this area.
  • The SQDC is not required to create new documents – be it by performing calculations, preparing tables or any other process – in order to fulfill an access-to-information request.
  • Decisions regarding access to documents and personal information are made in compliance with the restrictions and provisions applicable by law.
  • You may ask for the decision of the person in charge of access to information to be reviewed by the Commission d’accès à l’information only if the original request for access was in writing.
  • Some documents may be consulted only in our offices during business hours and by appointment.
