Security clearance

In compliance with the act, all who seek to work at the SQDC must demonstrate the necessary integrity by undergoing a security clearance conducted by the Sûreté du Québec. The report issued at the end of this process will take note of the applicant’s lack of a criminal record and of links to organized crime. The report must also indicate that the applicant has the ethics, integrity and morals necessary to perform the work, failing which the application may be refused.

Each application received will be carefully studied as will the security clearance report. Although an application may be refused due to the nature of any offences related to the job, this is not automatic grounds for rejection.

Applicants who refuse to undergo the mandatory security clearance process or to provide all the requested information will be deemed to have withdrawn their application or given up their job.
