Product availability

  • The SQDC makes every effort to keep a sufficient inventory of the products offered on its website. However, the availability of these products is not guaranteed.
  • The SQDC assumes no liability in the event of inventory shortages.
  • If the SQDC is unable to deliver a product ordered through its SQDC.ca website, the buyer will be notified by email or telephone. In such cases, the amount charged to a credit card for the product concerned will be credited as soon as possible.

Price policy

  • All prices displayed on the SQDC.ca website are the established retail sales prices.
  • The applicable sales taxes are included in the displayed prices.
  • The applicable sales taxes are not included in the displayed delivery fees. These taxes are calculated at checkout.
  • All prices displayed on the SQDC.ca website are in Canadian dollars.
  • The product prices displayed on the SQDC.ca website may differ from those displayed in other SQDC points of sale.
  • To cover unpredictable market fluctuations, the SQDC reserves the right to change, at any time and without prior notice, the prices of the products it sells.

Sales taxes

All product prices displayed on the SQDC.ca website include the applicable sales taxes. The tax amounts and the GST and QST numbers are shown at the bottom of the invoice.

The applicable sales taxes are not included in the delivery fees. They will be added when payment is made.

Legal purchase limit

  • In compliance with the act, the SQDC is required to limit to 30 grams the amount of cannabis that can be purchased at a time. This limit applies to purchases made on the SQDC.ca website as well as in SQDC stores. For products sold in quantities other than grams (e.g. millilitres, gel caps), the 30-gram purchase limit is calculated at checkout based on the product’s equivalent grams. Purchases of more than 30 grams are not allowed.
  • Note that, in Québec, the maximum amount of cannabis an individual can have on his or her person in public places is limited to 30 grams.

    Age verification

    Proof of age required

Access to the SQDC.ca website is strictly limited to persons age 21 and older. On entering the website, when creating a customer account and when placing an order, you are required to enter your date of birth to confirm that you are at least 21 years of age. When your order is delivered, the identity and age of the person who receives the parcel and signs the acknowledgement of receipt are once again checked. If the product is received by someone other than the buyer, that person must prove that he or she is of legal age. No deliveries will be made to anyone under the age of 21, even if the product has been paid for in advance.

Please note that the terms and conditions for in-store sales apply to in-store pickup.

Legal age to purchase and to access stores

As cannabis is a product unlike any other, the SQDC must comply with the Cannabis Regulation Act and the Act to tighten the regulation of cannabis. The act requires that every effort be made to ensure that SQDC products are sold only to persons age 21 and over. To buy cannabis online on the SQDC website, you must accept the SQDC’s terms and conditions of sale. All buyers of cannabis products on SQDC.ca must therefore be 21 years old or older and provide proof of age (with picture) when the merchandise is delivered. Proof of age must be in the form of a valid government-issued photo ID. The following proofs of age are accepted by the SQDC: valid passport, valid driver’s licence and valid health insurance card. If there is any doubt about proof of age, the age verification agent will deny access to the store.

    Act governing minors

Under the Cannabis Regulation Act and the Act to tighten the regulation of cannabis, it is forbidden in Québec to sell cannabis to a person under 21 years of age. It is forbidden for an adult to buy cannabis for a person under 21 years of age. The SQDC is therefore entitled to ask all buyers and all persons taking delivery of cannabis products for an ID to make sure they are not under 21 years of age.

    SQDC.ca exchange policy

The SQDC does not offer refunds under any circumstances.

The SQDC allows intact or defective products to be exchanged in store.

    Defective product

A product is defective only if it contains mould or was improperly produced. The product must be returned unused in its original container and with the sales receipt. When these conditions are met, the defective product will be replaced with the same product. If the same product is out of stock or otherwise unavailable, a replacement product of equal or greater value will be offered.

    Intact product

For a product to be considered intact, its security seal and excise stamp must not have been broken or detached. The original container in which the product is returned must be unopened and intact and show no signs of damage. To qualify for an exchange, an intact product must also be accompanied by the original sales receipt. When these conditions are met, the product will be exchanged by applying a credit to one or more products with a price equal to or greater than the price shown on the sales receipt. No refunds, including partial refunds, are issued.

    In-store purchases

In the event of a shipping error or defective product, SQDC.ca lets you exchange a product purchased online or picked up in store in the 14 days following the date of delivery or date of pick up, only if the product is intact or defective.

The product can be returned either by contacting the customer relations team or by visiting the SQDC store of your choice . The product must be returned in its original container and with the sales receipt or the order shipping confirmation. If the same product is no longer available, an equivalent replacement product will be suggested.

To exchange a product that has been shipped to you by mistake, the product must be returned in its original, sealed and intact container. The product will be exchanged for the actual product ordered. If the same product is no longer available, an equivalent replacement product will be offered.

    If the product was delivered

Products purchased through the SQDC.ca website and delivered through one of our partners may be returned at SQDC stores of your choice or by contacting the customer relations team.

    Delivery Services

    Pick Up In-Store

Any order that is not picked up within 7 days will be automatically cancelled and refunded to the customer.

Certain conditions and exclusions apply and are subject to change without prior notice. The SQDC reserves the right to refuse to exchange products whose return it determines to be inappropriate. The SQDC does not tolerate any aggressive behaviour, verbal or physical, towards its personnel, regardless of the reason for the behaviour. Any employee who encounters such behaviour will be required to refuse service or exchange of product, and the customer will be asked to leave the store.
